Mississippi Association of Nurse Anesthetists, founded in 1934, is a non-profit professional organization consisting of nearly 750 certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) licensed in Mississippi. CRNAs provide comprehensive anesthesia care to patients before, during and after surgical and obstetrical procedures and are generally the primary anesthesia professionals in rural and underserved areas of Mississippi.
MANA’s mission is to enhance patient safety, advance the practice of nurse anesthesia, and promote cost-effective, quality anesthesia throughout Mississippi. MANA advocates for our patients and members in legislative and governmental affairs and serves as a resource for CRNAs, the nursing and medical professions, hospitals, healthcare facilities and others interested in anesthesia care.
